Allen Cottage is peacefully situated in an idyllic rural setting surrounded by beautiful natural countryside, where deer reside in the woods, buzzards nest in the huge beech trees and a myriad of wonderful birdlife inhabits the pretty south facing garden.
It is a wonderful touring base for Stirling, Loch Lomond and the National Park, Aberfoyle and the Trossachs, but is only an hour from Inverary, Edinburgh and Perth and under an hour to Glasgow.
The cottage, which has recently been converted from an old barn, dating back to the 18th century, offers spacious accommodation, furnished to the highest standard, and is on three levels.The cottage sleeps four people, plus two on a large sofa bed.
We are surrounded by super coffee shops where you can indulge in yummy home baking or have a light lunch. These can be found in Buchlyvie, Fintry, Ward Toll Garden Centre and Kippen.
There are three delicatessens , Balfron, Kippen and Buchlyvie. There are two well stocked general grocer shops, The Co-op in Balfron and Costcutters in Buchlyvie, and also a very good butcher in Buchlyvie.
There is a very pretty pottery shop on the main street in Buchlyvie where most things are made on the premises - well worth a visit!
