Welcome to Rothay Lodge self catering holiday cottage and apartment. Dating back to 1830 the property is perfectly nestled in the picture postcard village of Grasmere in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Located alongside the River Rothay, the accommodation boasts beautiful gardens through which flows the delightful Greenhead Ghyll and glorious uninterrupted views of the fells.

The House has five bedrooms (4 doubles and one with twin beds), all with en-suite bathrooms. Recently extended and refurbished, it has a large dining area linked to the kitchen, a spacious lounge, a separate hall with seating and log burner, a ground floor toilet and stairlift.

A large south-facing patio has a table and seating for 10 with lovely views of the fells and the relaxing sound of the stream running through the garden.

Rothay Lodge Apartment is on the ground floor and has two double bedrooms (both with en-suite bathrooms), a large well-equipped dining kitchen and a lounge with double doors leading to a private patio. It is self-contained, was recently refurbished and is wheelchair accessible.

This detached house is surrounded by 50 acres of woodland, home to red deer and numerous other wildlife, and makes for the perfect secluded holiday setting. A sparkling trout stream babbles through the gardens on its way to the sea at Heddons Mouth. Walkers will be in their element with some lovely countryside walks directly from the property including a gentle stroll through the valley to the nearby Hunters Inn which is renowned for its lovely food. There is much to see and do in the area and you can enjoy the sweeping sands of Woolacombe, Putsborough, Croyde and Saunton, ranked among the finest beaches in Europe. Fringed by cliffs and sand dunes, and studded with rock pools, these golden beaches offer a range of activities, from bucket and spade fun to surfing and watersports. There are attractions to suit all tastes which include National Trust Arlington Court, Watermouth Castle, Exmoor Zoological Gardens, Combe Martin Dinosaur Park and much more. On site, relax in the enclosed swimming pool, stroll the gardens sited by the stream, or use the hot tub.

Set in a secluded wooded valley in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty a very short distance from the Exmoor National Park and close to the spectacular North Devon Coast, it has the appearance of a small private hamlet. There are just five letting properties. Two are wings of the old Coulscott farmhouse; one medieval and one Georgian. The others are converted farm buildings set around a courtyard. There are no other houses within a quarter of a mile.

Good sleep is essential to a relaxing holiday. All beds in Coulscott have pocket sprung mattresses with Memory Foam. The beds are big too. All the double beds are king-sized or bigger. We also understand the importance of spotlessly clean properties provided with crisp sheets and lots of good quality towels.

Coulscott has a full-sized indoor pool open all year round. Two properties each have their own sheltered outdoor hot-tubs. The three cottageswill share a new hot-tubfrom 2010 where private sessions are bookable. There is a children's play area including a large climbing frame with swings and a big trampoline. Coulscott is set in 16 acres, much of it open to guests. It has woodland, streams and a pond and is home to badgers, foxes, buzzards, owls and much more wildlife. Sheep and cows graze the surrounding steep meadows that shelter it on three sides. Down the valley are lovely views over rolling fields and woods with scarcely a building in sight.

Allen Cottage is peacefully situated in an idyllic rural setting surrounded by beautiful natural countryside, where deer reside in the woods, buzzards nest in the huge beech trees and a myriad of wonderful birdlife inhabits the pretty south facing garden.

It is a wonderful touring base for Stirling, Loch Lomond and the National Park, Aberfoyle and the Trossachs, but is only an hour from Inverary, Edinburgh and Perth and under an hour to Glasgow.

The cottage, which has recently been converted from an old barn, dating back to the 18th century, offers spacious accommodation, furnished to the highest standard, and is on three levels.The cottage sleeps four people, plus two on a large sofa bed.

We are surrounded by super coffee shops where you can indulge in yummy home baking or have a light lunch. These can be found in Buchlyvie, Fintry, Ward Toll Garden Centre and Kippen.

There are three delicatessens , Balfron, Kippen and Buchlyvie. There are two well stocked general grocer shops, The Co-op in Balfron and Costcutters in Buchlyvie, and also a very good butcher in Buchlyvie.

There is a very pretty pottery shop on the main street in Buchlyvie where most things are made on the premises - well worth a visit!

Amber Cottage is a spacious 2 bedroom Georgian cottage tucked away down one of Appledore's many famous narrow lanes.

An unspoilt, picturesque fishing village, Appledore has a long shipbuilding history and over the years many artists and craftspeople have settled here. Lovingly decorated with beautiful textiles and antique shop curiosities this cottage has special charm.

The 18ft master bedroom boasts a luxurious French upholstered super king bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen. The well equipped kitchen leads out onto the beautifully planted 35ft walled garden where meals can be enjoyed al fresco.

The large lounge with its high beamed ceilings, wood burner, cosy sofas, 32' TV, great selection of DVD's, free WI-FI broadband internet, books and games make this the perfect place to relax after a busy day on the beach.
